Bio

Louis McKinnon is an undergraduate student studying Economics and English at the University of California, Berkeley due to graduate in December 2022. His studies focus on an investigation of Health Economics and Policy through integrating economic and biological models. He is currently an Methods Core Research Assistant with the Center for Health and the Social Sciences (CHeSS) at the University of Chicago and Clinical Reseach Data Analyst Intern with Kaiser Permanente Otolaryngology (Oakland Medical Center). Previously he worked as a Data Engineer Intern with the Center for Translational Data Science at the University of Chicago and with the Amber Smith Lab at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center developing a model of cytokine dynamics during bacterial-viral coinfection. He also works with Berkeley NEED and Roots Community Health Center telehealth medicine team as a digital health navigator and research collaborator.
